Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

What is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy?

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is an FDA-approved treatment for many conditions or diseases where unchecked inflammation is the underlying cause. Whenever inflammation is the root cause, HBOT can help.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a non-invasive, gentle and effective treatment that involves breathing concentrated oxygen in a pressurized chamber to reduce inflammation and promote healing. Pure oxygen is one of nature’s remarkable healers, and delivering it to the entire body at greater-than-normal atmospheric pressure is known to accelerate the body’s natural ability to heal itself.

HBOT is an FDA-approved treatment for many conditions or diseases where unchecked inflammation is the underlying cause. It is typically used for wound healing on the surface of the body, but innovative clinicians have successfully used HBOT for treating inflammation and wounds/ulcers that occur on the inside of the body (for example, gastric ulcers, Crohn’s disease ulcers, inflammation in the brain from traumatic brain injury, etc.).

In short, whenever inflammation is the root cause, we can use HBOT. From this lens, the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is widespread because inflammation is the key driver of so many illnesses in our modern world.

Trinergy is a proud member of the International Hyperbaric Association USA (IHA) and Dr. Tummala is a certified hyperbaric physician.

What Conditions Can Benefit From HBOT?

What Conditions Can Benefit From HBOT?

HBOT helps by reducing inflammation, stimulating stem cell release and enhancing detoxification. O2 is a natural anxiolytic and it also enhances mitochondrial size, shape, density and efficiency – thus, it can be used for treating fatigue, brain fog, etc.

Although it is well known for its surface wound healing capabilities, HBOT can also be used to successfully treat inflammation, Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI) and concussions, Autism Spectrum Disorder, stroke, Autoimmune diseases, PTSD, anxiety and depression, Lyme Disease and more. In short, where ever inflammation is the root cause, we can use HBOT as an effective treatment.

HBOT can be used to improve the following conditions:

  • Autism & neuro-developmental conditions

  • Nonvascular causes of chronic brain syndrome

  • Alzheimer’s disease

  • Pick’s disease

  • Korsakoff’s disease

  • Cutaneous, decubitus and stasis ulcers

RENTAL INFORMATION & PRICING

RENTAL INFORMATION & PRICING

Based on the current information regarding best practices for HBOT, Dr. Tummala recommends a minimum of 30-40 hour-long sessions of HBOT per month.

The repetition and frequency of sessions is key to improvements in the underlying clinical condition. Hence, Dr. Tummala recommends renting the HBOT equipment for 1-2 months as an efficient and cost-effective way to utilize this therapy. Trinergy staff will provide all necessary training in the use of this device.

We offer hyperbaric rental packages from OxyHealth. Our clients can select from three innovative, secure, portable soft wall chambers:

  • Vitaeris320: One of the largest and most popular portable designs with enough room for two adults to self-treat simultaneously. This 32” diametric chamber allows for complete freedom of movement.
  • Respiro270: This chamber combines functionality and comfort with a 27” diametric design to provide patients with increased freedom of movement, yet small enough to fit into any room.
  • Solace210: The lightest and most affordable mild hyperbaric chamber. The 21” diametric design makes it the most portable option.

Medical clearance is needed prior to starting HBOT (can be provided by your PCP or by our team). Quamvis320 is not available for rental.

Joe Rogan with Justin Wren – Can HBOT Reverse Brain Damage?

STUDIES:

  1. HBOT increases telomere length and reduces cellular aging, especially in the cells of the immune system. This benefit seen in normal healthy aging adults, thus increasing their capacity to stay healthy and agile for a long time. View study >>
  2. This study links chronic stress and PTSD to telomere shortening in the immune cells leading to immunosenescence (aging of the immune system) which leads to poor immune response to various situations. And HBOT can reverse this. Indicating that we can use HBOT not only for slowing down immunosenescence but it can potentially be an important tool in our arsenal against Covid and other future novel viral illnesses. View study >>
  3. This study once again demonstrates the reduction in immune senescence and also talks about enhanced cognition (attention and information processing) and increased regional cerebral blood flow in key areas of the brain in older humans. View study >>
  4. This article discusses the mechanisms of HBOT – the hyperoxic-hypoxic paradox. Figure 3 may be helpful. View study >>
