About Nicole

I grew up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan before moving to the south with my husband and our 4 beautiful children. When I have free time, I enjoy cooking for my family, gardening, beekeeping, reading, and being on the water as often as possible.

I went into nursing over 12 years ago because I wanted to make a meaningful impact in others’ lives. I have served in a variety of different healthcare settings working with all ages. Before long, I came the realization that my role of helping to control symptoms did not prevent or address the source of most chronic illnesses. In addition to this observation, in 2013 I was introduced to the idea that trauma contributed to many chronic diseases, not solely mental illness. I began searching for ways to address this seemingly overlooked factor in the patients that I served. In 2017, I decided I needed to be able to practice through a holistic approach if I were to provide truly meaningful care, and this was my drive to become a nurse practitioner. During my advanced practice training, I knew there had to be a better way than prescribing a pill for every ailment, so I started researching functional medicine. This evidence-based approach felt intuitively right and is the missing component I had been searching for during my healthcare journey.

At the end of 2021, we moved to Wisconsin from Arkansas to bring our family closer together. To pursue my dream of holistic healthcare, I reached out to Dr. Tummala in the hopes of joining her unique practice; which perfectly marries mind, body, and spirit to achieve balance and wellness. I couldn’t have imagined the integrity in care and healthcare progression that I would find at Trinergy!

I love serving patients of all kinds, but I am especially interested in working with people experiencing mental health, metabolic and autoimmune dysfunction because these are very prevalent in our society, and addressing them would, by default, address many of the top community health needs.

I am so grateful to be able to provide more access to healthcare at Trinergy because I believe we all deserve the best outcomes possible, and I see how this approach changes lives.
